Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hello! I am Kelly, a teacher for Splash at Cornell and a subteam lead for the Cornell Engineering student project team Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW). My team and I are excited to lead our lesson on Sustainable Engineering, including the many career opportunities in the field and a hands on activity to put your engineering skills to the test.

E1033: Sustainable Engineering (feat. Rube Goldberg) in Splash Spring 2025 (Apr. 19, 2025)
This class will provide an overview of the exciting field of Sustainable Engineering! We will cover the variety of careers within the field and discuss the importance of environmental awareness in engineering, including Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. We will also be conducting an interactive activity and constructing Rube Goldberg Machines. Students will be split into teams to create their own machines with recycled materials and compete for prizes!
