P1137: Inside Synthetic Biology: Engineering Living Systems (iGEM) in Splash Spring 2026 (Apr. 11, 2026)
In this class, high school students will explore the fascinating field of synthetic biology and genetic engineering. We will discuss how scientists engineer DNA to create new biological systems, examine real-world applications, and learn about opportunities for students to participate in synthetic biology + a quick rundown of the iGEM competition!


P1116: PulseGuard: CPR and Emergency Response Training in Splash Fall 2025 (Nov. 22, 2025)
Ever wondered what to do if someone suddenly collapses? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to recognize cardiac emergencies, perform high-quality CPR, and use an AED to restore a heartbeat. You’ll also learn about the Good Samaritan Law and how you can help safely and confidently in real-life situations. By the end of class, you’ll have the skills and confidence to save a life and even earn a small prize for completing the training!
