Brief Biographical Sketch:

Erin is a senior Human Development major minoring in Anthropology and Dance. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Erin has found a home away from home in Ithaca. When exploring the area, Erin can be found planning activities for Cornell Elderly Partnership, giving campus tours, tutoring middle school students, empowering fellow (not so) Average Women, dancing with Preforming and Media Arts, and assisting in first year orientation. Her primary areas of interest include art, human interactions (particularly that of young children and the elderly), international culture (especially that of Spanish-speaking countries), and, of course, dance. Over the past two years she served as executive director of Cornell’s own Dance Marathon: Big Red Thon, a dance-centered fundraising event benefiting Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. Erin aspires to continue helping other beyond graduation as a social worker or a pediatric physician. For the next two years she intends to work for an urban hospital as a caseworker.
