H1083: Worlds Within Us: Surreal Animation and the Struggle for Self in Splash Fall 2025 (Nov. 22, 2025)
Surreal settings often mirror the internal battles of the people in them, such as self image issues, depression, and a long lasting search for healing. This class will dive into how surreal worlds in animated cartoons externalize inner struggles, why they resonate so deeply with audiences, and what it says about the power of storytelling.


H987: Identity in Infinity Train: What it means to exist in Splash Fall 2024 (Nov. 16, 2024)
Oxford defines the act of "being" as "to exist. Existence can mean different things to people within a multitude of circumstances. This course aims to use the show "Infinity Train" to explore the concept of identity across various stories depicted in the series. The students will then use what they've learned to apply their idea of "being" to themselves.
