Brief Biographical Sketch:

As a third-year PhD student at Cornell University, I conduct research in a cardiovascular tissue engineering lab, where I study the effects of blood flow patterns, cell-cell interactions, and matrix stiffness on blood vessel formation. Apart from my research, I enjoy tutoring K-12 students in math and science through outreach programs, stuffing my face with popcorn at the movies, and practicing hot Vinyasa at my favorite yoga studio, Blackbird.

S652: Reproductive Health and Sex Education in Splash Fall 2019 (Nov. 16, 2019)
The goal of my purposed workshop is to educate youth on reproductive health and sex education and to empower adolescents to become responsible, consenting individuals. This workshop will include discussion topics such as: general reproductive anatomy and function, health and disease in the context of sexual intercourse, contraception, medical and emotional support services, gender identity and sexuality in society, and the identification of sexual assault, abuse, and harassment in intimate and professional relationships. By the end of this workshop, students will not only understand their personal autonomy and decision-making to address their individual libido and reproductive needs, but also develop increased social awareness on gender identification, sexual preference, and sexual violence.
