Brief Biographical Sketch:

I was born in Ontario, Canada and I currently live in Wyoming. My professional goal is to work in wild tiger conservation. To this end I will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study large carnivore population models in the fall.

P205: The Deer and the Tiger: The Strategy and Mechanics of How Tigers Stalk and Kill Prey in Splash Spring 2016 (Apr. 23, 2016)
We will discuss videos and accounts of the ways in which tigers stalk, chase, and kill their prey. This will go into basic ecology, biomechanics and anatomy, though no prior knowledge is assumed.

A broad overview of the tiger (Panthera tigris), from evolution and life history to current status and future. Special attention will be given to more obscure areas such as specialized hunting techniques for different prey.
