Brief Biographical Sketch:

I love reading novels of every genre, creative writing, drawing, painting, and fashion. I'm involved in many clubs on campus in addition to Splash! including: The Cornell Book Review, Rainy Day Literary Magazine, Alpha Phi Omega Gamma Chapter Co-ed Service Fraternity, Her Campus Cornell, Guild of Visual Arts, Students Onto Scholars, Communication Student Advisory Board, Cornell Dept. of Communication Social Media Lab Research Assistant.

In fact, becoming a reviewer or blogger creates opportunities for you to get free advanced copies of books. In this class, you will learn about different platforms for publishing your reviews, strategies for writing critical analysis, and creative ways to write for your target audience.

Do you love reading, watching Youtube videos, and/or taking artsy photos to post on Instagram? This is your chance to combine these fun interests and learn more about the book industry! We will explore a bunch of different online destinations, such as Goodreads, Booktube, and Bookstagram, where you can visit and post your own online content or admire the work of others. Plus, you'll get to use your creativity to come up with your own ideas for a bookish photoshoot!


H302: Reading for Fun! in Splash Spring 17 (Apr. 29, 2017)
A lot of people love to read when they're younger, but once they reach middle school and high school, they become too busy to pick up the books they want. In this class, you will be introduced to some fun, helpful websites and apps that can help you manage your time to fit reading in your schedule and also suggest some new, interesting books. You will also get to share and receive reading recommendations and just talk about the books you love. This is your chance to have a stress-free, interactive conversation about books and fictional worlds with your peers.
