Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hello, my name is Jonathan Chai and I am currently a junior majoring in Plant Sciences at Cornell. Growing up in Southern California, I have always been fascinated by the native vegetation and wildflowers I see during my hikes. During middle school I bought my first orchid at an orchid show and have since expanded my plant collection to include succulents, carnivorous plants and many other plants. Seeing the amazing diversity in form and adaptations of these plants have motivated me to study their conservation and ecological interactions. I am currently interested in the conservation of endangered plants species and the restoration of their habitats.
