Brief Biographical Sketch:
Mary Lee is a graduate student pursuing an MPS in Integrative Plant Science with a concentration in Public Garden Leadership at Cornell University. She holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and minors in Deaf Studies and Creative Writing from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Mary's capstone research at Cornell is focused on the floristics of South Asia and the public gardens' role in protecting biodiversity through ex-situ collections. To this end, her culminating work will be interpreting and designing a living collection of plants endemic to Sri Lanka.
